S.E. Washington | I wouldn’t rule out a brake hanging up. Could be due to pads coming apart and piling up against the brake disk in the final drive, or could be a stuck piston in your brake valve under the dash. This is the direction I would look next.
Definitely rule out the park pawl, but those usually “ratchet” since it’s a toothed arm that engages the reduction gear at the back of the powershift. It won’t drag, it’s in or out, and can ratchet a couple times then breaks in a BANG. | |
