SW Iowa | I agree on low feeder chain speed, low feed accelerator speed, and feeder house drum in up position. No need to run those at mach speed and shove the rotor over full. If you plug it, it should plug in the feeder house. Check the teeth on your feed accelerator and discharge beater and either flip the teeth or replace them if the edge is rounded off. While checking teeth on accelerator look for bent pieces of the drum, they are not hard to replace. If you plug the discharge beater you will spend two hours cleaning it back out. Make sure the belt on the beater is tight and in good condition. Run the rear chopper in high speed for beans and make sure all chopper knives are present and not dull. Check for missing paddles on the elevators and make sure they are tensioned properly. Use a large pry bar and lift up on the vertical unload auger shaft that is exposed with the bevel gears, it should not move up and down. Check oil levels in the main engine gear case (MEG), the countershaft gear case behind the cab, rotor gear case, final drives, and the reverser gear case where the header shaft attaches. Since you have 4wd, I would change hyd oil and filters more often than what the book says because if your hydro goes out you will be replacing the 4wd motors as well.
In my experience a STS machine costs about $10 per acre for maintenance and repairs on corn/soy farm, but they are nice machines to run.
