Paxton, IL | I wouldn't be without them. Not that I use a flex head all the time, but it's nice to have when you need it.
I can't stand non-locking flex heads. Even with high quality ones that you can tighten up the flex joint, they always seem to flop around or get bumped into a different position than I want. My favorite are the Matco/Armstrong style that have another low profile lever for the lock similar to the ratchet reversing lever. I think Gearwrench makes some in a similar design now as well.
The Snap-On style locking flex heads are nice too, but I find their lock button to get in the way from time to time and they can only be used in a locked position where the Matco style can be unlocked and used as a regular non-locking flex head if desired.
