Mid-Michigan
You did about what I did about 15 years ago (9760). Im still using that combine. It's been very good to me. I came from an 860 Massey. You made a great choice with the 12 row, but I hope you have truck drivers. You won't believe how that thing eats corn. I have weight on the rear wheels. I think you are going to need it. I agree with the former poster about the chain and beater speed. When you make adjustments, make them one at a time and make them small. They are very touchy. Im going to assume you have the shiftable feederhouse. That is a huge improvement over my combine. Maintenance is easy but expensive. Set up and use your machine loss monitors. The machine can handle that volume but if it says you are throwing corn out, you are. You don't have to go fast to get an unbelievable done (compared to a 77). Id read your book well. If you need help, go to a neighbor who has or had one
You'll get use to it right away. It's a good combine.
