Hooker Twp,Ne | I was 33 when my dad passed away in the mid 80s. I had a 5 yr old daughter and a 10 month old son. I realized in a hurry how important it is to make sure kids can take care of themselves at young age. If need be. After HS my daughter started working for large ins company and the paid for her college ed that she need for them. Later in life a larger ins company asked her to work for them and she is doing well. My son followed my footsteps and farms with me. I knew when he was about 27 yrs old that if something happened to me he could run the show. Today at 40 yrs of age he runs the show and tells dad what to do. And I like it that way. This morning the banker and I were talking about it how we both have sons taking over our business and how fortunate we are. | |
