| Ben . . . you going to ever get around to the farmer who had to have his field sprayed with fungicide. No matter what. The same guy who wouldn't work with his neighbor to find a plan they both could live with. The guy who drove his neighbor to do a foolish act out of frustratin ? No . . . I didn't think so. A person would be lucky to net 20 $ an acre on average with fungicides over the years. But the guy with the goats should just shut up and lose thousands so that farmer didn't give a 100 $ for buffer zone. Or the applictor didn't have to alter his application plan ? We can't all be brilliant like you Ben and call them Karen's. And for that I am thankful. And Wes . . . ah yes he must always take the shortest route to and from a job. And he needs to turn over livestock any darn time he see's fit because to do anything else would cost precious money. But that goat rancher . . . Ef him and anyone like him. They don't count. Most everyone on Ag Talk agrees. Well except me and Bobby McGee. If thats going to be the prevailing attitude then yes . . . frustrated people are going to take matters in their own hands. Been that way forever. And since the tecnology exists to spray fungicide without ever crossing people like the goat farmers boundry line just maybe its time to recind those exlusions of airspace that crop dusters have been given. Seem like that privilege is just to much for them to handle. And just so you know people do have some protection rights from the harassment of their livestock from a custom applicator just so some dipsheet row cropper who thinks his sheet don't stick can demand his crop get sprayed at any cost to his neighbors. I miss the days neighbors try to be good neighbors. Well I'm lucky. Mine pretty much do. | |
