DBFarm - 8/3/2026 20:37 If you are using the lefebure app on the android I know from experience the v3.0 beacon from digifarm works with it and it much more stable than the paranis. The beacon 4.0 and higher got locked out to only usable with digifarm correction service and app. Partially true. Beacon 5.0 can be provisioned unlocked or locked to a specific partner network. The Beacon 5.0 lock is done at the hardware level from the factory here. The iOS/Apple app will "open up" if it senses an unlocked Beacon 5.0 allowing various networks or alternatively user input for custom/private network. Beacon 5.0 supports multiple baud rates that can be configured through the iOS app plus native support for the green guys. Android they come factory set for 38.4k and compatible with Lefebure's Ntrip app. If you want a change in baud rate you will have to use the free iOS app to do the initial configuration if it's outside the 38.4k in/out baud. Probably the largest change from the 3.0 to the 5.0 is it supports "Location Services" where if you have valid GPS information coming from the receiver it will "take over" the iOS devices GPS and use that information for any apps you may have running without additional software. Google Maps, Apple Maps, soil sampling, etc. |
