On a related note, was deeply involved in a similar discussion with AGCO in their decision to move from the C18 to their own V12 engine in Challenger MT800s. Many of the same reasons were behind AGCO choosing to develop and use their own engine, just like PACCAR and the others did before them in the truck world...more control and increased profit via vertical integration. | |
