Eastern NE KS | I have a Capital One CC. it allows me to create virtual cards (VC) tied to the main cc account. The main feature I use is single business VC. I have created several, one for each business I routinely do business. Mail order, certain utilities, feed store all have a unique VC tied to them. I'm pretty sure if a vc was compromised it could be turned off without locking the entire account.
Holes:
A scammer could use my VC at the same business as me. But that problem is pretty unlikely except maybe Amazon.
I don't yet know if the entire card group would be locked if a scam hit my real card number. I bet it would but hope not. | |
