I used to carry about 5,000 pounds of liquid fertilizer on the front of several Genesis with super steer, just keep it greased and it'll be fine. Never had an issue steering
3 pt hitch is probably an easy fix, they can be finicky but someone who knows their way around them can usually sort them out quick
