Happened to me once about 15 years ago. Was in a motel and had a coughing spell. Fainted and woke up on the floor, some blood on my T-shirt and had bitten through my lower lip. Had to be driven to the local hospital for some sutures. Never happened again but I had to be careful when driving if I felt a coughing spell coming on.
