I have a 855 block cummins engine in a Hitachi excavator that is losing oil pressure.

At start up, it is good, but once warmed up, it starts dropping.  Engine doesnt appear to be using oil, and no blowby.

We installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it to bypass the electronics and it still does the same thing.

Should I try replacing the external oil pump?
