Subject: RE: Box scrapers.

Gearclash - 8/5/2026 21:13 I second a tow grader as pictured above. I have a nice 10 foot box scraper with tilt but once I become rich and famous it will get sold in favor of a tow grader. Box scrapers don't dig in worth a plug nickel, they need dirt to be loosened first.

If you put enough weight on them they will dig.      Takes a lot of power to pull them if you put enough weight on it though.   The weight also makes it harder to do a nice job of leveling.

If you add enough weight to a 10ft box scraper to make it cut dirt, it will be more than enough for the OP's 145 hp mfwd tractor to pull up hill.
