I had some wires short out and do some damage to the starter and wiring around it. Trying to remove the starter and for the life of me I can’t get it out!! It looks like a job to remove parts and pieces behind the starter to make room to slide it out. Is there something I’m not smart enough to see in getting it out? Thanks

Nope, dismantle most of that side of the engine. Everything is in the way on the 6 cylinder. Twin turbo and emissions equipment adds a lot of complications
