Faunsdale, AL | Sounds like the adjustment of the valves inside the SCV. As you know the movement of the 4 poppets in each SCV is controlled by two cams which are hooked to the operating lever/shaft.
My guess is that someone has something involving the detent mechanism out of adjustment. Whatever they did wrong they did to both valves!
If you pull the lever all the way down to full retract position for a second and then return it manually to the hold position somewhere mid stroke, does that make a difference? This would be in contrast to just pulling it down enough to start lowering a little trying to feather the cut.
I could see that mounting an auxillary closed center valve on the right fender would make operating the scraper a lot more pleasant. However I’ve never had one of those with a detent/kick out mechanism except the one to lock into float.
