Central IL
We make fresh salsa every year. Best way to get your fresh veggies.

Start with Roma type or other meaty tomatoes fresh from a garden. Dice them up and drain off the juice. Should make up 50% to 75% of the finished product.

Dice up sweet onions and add to taste.

Dice up some Jalapeno peppers and add to taste

Taste this mixture and add Louisiana style hot sauce to as needed

Optional enhancements include a bit of lime juice or diced green tomatillos.

I especially like the taste provided by the tomatillos.

Grab a bag of corn chips and pig out.

Not too many snacks this tasty and this healthy at the same time.
