My first thought, and I did not get all the way through "Cows possess a level of social and cognitive intelligence, etc." was "bullshucks."  On second thought, maybe it should have been "cowshucks". 
 HOWEVER... maybe it was really an alien spacecraft  that only LOOKED like a cow...Then maybe I could believe it...
