NC KS | If you are tight like me and have more time than money, rent, buy, or borrow a rotary impact drill or hire a fellow with one and a concrete saw. Drill a circle of holes for at least an 18" up tube. Saw a slot a little wider than a trencher and bust it out along with hole in middle. Use post hole digger to make hole in center and trench out to the side. Put in water line and riser. Form up a 2-3.5" riser for waterer to sit on and concrete your trencher line after backfilling with soil. Could backhoe all of that also. Tie slabs together with rebar drilled inti old concrete.
If you have somebody with good muscles and enjoys a workout, backhoe a hole outside of slab and tunnel to center hole with spade or shovel. | |
