| My buddy's dad had the straight 6 with a 5 speed, my dad had 302 with auto (first auto on our place!). The 5 speed would win at an 1/8mile, but the 302 would win in the 1/4. I do believe the 302 out mileaged the straight 6 though at about 380,000. I should go start that rig, haven't ran it for years (its about worn out). The 7.3idi is still my daily driver and running strong (well, strong as 180hp can run), but I think its only at 180000. Good years for Fords. | |
