We had two different trip dump loaders. I can barely remember the loader on the 52 8N even though it was that tractor I learned to drive a tractor on and learned to plow with it. He only put the loader on it during spring barn cleanout. It was the only tractor that fit under the barn leanto where he fed hay. And he had to duck.
It got traded for a 63 model MF35 gas that I drove a lot. It also had a trip type loader that like you said had to lower to reset and pull the lever at just the right time so it would rotate correctly and snap shut. Or drop it to the ground and drag backwards.
Neither of those loaders were quick tach but dad faithfully put them on and took them back off each spring so they would not be on there for the rest of tractor farm work.
Hydraulics sloooooow by todays standards. But much better than pitchfork only. |
