Because being gone and traveling away from home (plus lots of rain this year) the grass was more like needing to be cut and baled than mowed, my first pass on some of it was with the Bush Hog. Second pass a few days later with a 3pt finish mower set high. Of course I now have tons of dry grass on the top of this area and when I mow it I'm going to be covered in grass dust, probably mold and whatever is in dry dead grass clippings, so I'm going to mow it wet so I can still breathe after getting done. The first two or three passes were on tractors with cabs. The regular Grasshopper lawn mower has no such protection.

Fortunately it was not all that way but one area around the old barn (which has plenty of natural fertilizer from many years of use) was. So it takes a couple weeks of mowing to get it back in shape after being gone for a month.

I hope the dew will cut down on the dust.
