west texas | This winter we bought a ventless dryer that is a separate from the washer. We looked at the combo units like you bought but decided on separate unit since our washer is still good. So far it has worked well but they did stress to keep all the lint screens clean and to occasionally vacuum out certain areas. It does use less energy because it is essentially a heat pump and sends the water down the washer drain.
