I spread rye at around 40 lb/acre on corn stalks and then run a light disk afterward. Would make the tillage pass either way. Spring cost to kill it is only extra if it is wet in early spring and it gets really big before I can get out there to kill it.

At $40/acre you're not going to make money off of the program, but a good way to try it out without costing you if you want to do it anyway.
