Scranton		A buddy ended up in the er one night from severe acid reflux...worst he'd ever felt. After sitting for most of an hour in the er chairs, they ran a test or two and next thing he knew they were calling in the lifeflight. He had surgery that night yet for a rupturing aorta. Said it probably happened years ago...maybe a sharp blow by a cow. Also said he would likely have not survived the night otherwise.

Another buddy had severe reflux as well...lasting for a week and multiple trips to the dr. He ended up not surviving a heart attack. Both these guys were lower 50's.

Moral is: severe acid reflux, get your butt in to the er.
