I'll agree about some, but I've made some great potato and leek soup and mom makes borsht when she has a bunch of beets around and that's pretty good especially as a cold meal on a hot day.

Yogurt is another good option that doesn't need to be chewed. I put some cinnamon and ground cloves in plain yogurt or cumin and curry when I'm trying to avoid sugar. A little maple syrup or pureed fruit in yogurt tastes great.
