Subject: RE: Threshing gang

North of London

There is a picture of a  steel wheeled tractor around here somewhere but when I see one I remember my father telling about the first rubber wheeled tractor he had.
He bought the tractor and my grandfather told him it was a  mistake to get rubber instead of steel wheels.
Father said he sent grandpa out to work ground with the new tractor and never heard another word about it being on rubber.

I have had experience driving a JD 'B' tractor (on rubber) pulling a grain binder usually with my grandfather on the binder.

The hired man was because my father had been sick.
Only time we ever had one and Tony only worked through the summer.
We kids were not old enough to help like we were when he was hurt when I was a teenager.
