Va beach is a protected beach so it isn’t getting hit directly by the ocean so shells are limited. It is a nice beach don’t get me wrong that is where we went on our honeymoon. We liked the museum at Norfolk where the USS Wisconsin battle ship.

If you go north through New England there is Mt Washington in New Hampshire. It is the highest peak in the Appalachian range that you can drive up. Better have your wits when you cross the tree line because I almost froze.
