cropsey, il 61731		3 weeks ago I somehow missed a van in front of me when I was a crossing an intersection on my motorcycle. I survived with 7 broken ribs and a bruised shoulder. At the ER, they found my aorta has an aneurysm that may be largw enough to operate on. I'm getting another CT tomorrow with other tests later to confirm. My ribs are healing well, but there is a good possibility a cardiac surgeon is going to cut right through them again. The surgeon said I've probably had this condition a long time and there is no immediate emergency, but it will become one someday. I could use prayers.

I've also had high blood pressure for the last 19 years and had been pretty successful managing it with amlodopine and lisinipril and exercise/weight loss. However, a year ago it started to go up. My sistolic wsa 140 or below, but now is often in the 160's (diastolic actually got better from 80's to often in the 60's). The surgeon started me on a beta blocker to lower it further. I'm a little frustrated that typical "fixes" like exercise are not very effective anymore. If I work out really hard it would go down to 135, but wouldn't stay there. I've cut back coffee and alcohol with no change. I've also tried some of the supplements with no effect. I'm 65 if it matters

Any of you guys deal with this? Is it just a symptom of raising pigs or running red equipment? I'm not looking as much for medical advice but other's personal experience. thanks
