I know I’m wrong but my gut tells me that the enlist I’ve first used in 2023 is different than in 26. In 23 i could spray the first tank in a field and go back to field driveway to reload and could see where I started beans and weeds both drupping. Now not so much and this is using a heavier rate with better heat and humidity as I looked back at what it was in 23 from weather station hooked up to my monitor. Don’t for a minute believe it’s resistance as used in a rotation with corn so only used twice.
Am not using enlist but I'm having same suspicions this year, as are other farmers am talking to. One spray rep warned me there's a bunch of china knockoff chems out there, dunno, but I've had some real stinker luck this year with glyphosate and 2,4-D. Had to hit with some non amine LV6 and other spots adding dicamba, which is normally reserved for knapweed or anything that really got out of hand. Even tumbleweeds this year are insane and the rate to knock them on their arse is almost double same stage of growth. Have had to respray some areas twice and at almost double the rates. It's not resistance, I'm the only one around for miles either direction and nobody neighboring sprays. I do lowest use rates that were already established as working. I'm going back to my tried and true (but more expensive) even though the %'s are the same. I'm def suspicious. |
