As far as Gettysburg. I do know there are docents available to explain the history for you. You should know, almost all states involved in that action have state monuments with veterans names posted on them. You, or your wife may have an ancestor with their name on one of the state monuments. Maps are readily available. Someone as a tour guide will greatly enhance the experience.
Chesapeake: St. Michaels( east side) is a quaint, beautiful village, well worth visiting.
Using all of these advice notes, do as much on-line research as you can. Realize, you will not make the miles-per-day as you do out west: density slows traffic. | |
