coast of Maine | Danny,I personally would never go back to a NJ beach.Just crowds and loud and safety issues.The "cape" of Massachusetts is nicer.The neatest and beaches beyond(costly) is Nantucket.If you want sandy beaches that are amazing this.Seeing the coast is quite different up here.Maine has over 3,000 miles of coastline.If you want near alone time it is down east Maine(not Bar harbor).It is super there in the off season though.Summer =nuts .We have the lowest crime rate in the USA.Stay out of Portland maine.Druggy homeless crap hole runby libs.Roads such as I-95 are very doable at night ,daytime will suck often but worse if holidays and Thursday eve to Sunday eve in vacation areas.If you decide to explore up here I am sure we can give you a bit of a tour here.Just email me.Beths is our farm market.facebook is the exposure they tell me.My email gets 100's of attempts at me a day so try again if no get back or post on here.You are over 10 x likely to have a violent crime in DC/NJ/Maryland/Delaware than in Maine.So that is what makes me decide to vacation when our kids were young.Here if not salty you could say the ocean was clean enough to drink,,,it sure is not in NJ. | |
