Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Did that last summer. Had a dozen states to go to be in all 50. All in the northeast and wanted to see Washington DC.
Drove to St Louis to the Arch. Then to the ARK in Kentucky. May want to include the Creation Center which isn’t very far away. Went across WV and Virginia for a few sights then to Norfolk VA and crossed the Chesapeake Bay bridge/tunnel. That was very interesting. That got us to Maryland and Delaware. Came into DC from the east. Spent a day on a bus tour. Kind of a hop on hop off your. Got to see at least 18 places like the Capital, Washington monument, Arlington Cemetery. The White House. The highlights anyway.
Then to Gettysburg. Very interesting and Hershey PA. Drove east to New York City. Parked near a park on the East river across from lower Manhattan. Could see the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty from there. And the lower Manhattan skyline. We had been in New York before.
Then on up through Connecticut, RI, MA to Maine to Acadia National Park. Ate plenty of fresh Lobster.
Then west through upper VT and NH and the Adirondacks to Niagara Falls. That’s a must see. Back across northern Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and home. |
