Amherst WI | 3-5 miles is what I would consider a close farm
Let’s take a real world example from yesterday.
I had to spray 93 acres 16 miles from home.
Move spray trailer, move sprayer, spray, move sprayer back home and then go get the trailer.
This would have took 2 hours in the 3-5 mile scenario you laid out, maybe less but it took close to 4 with the distance involved. Now multiply that across every farm we run. The folks who’ve had the advantage of merging into an existing operation that has a lot of land touching your front doorstep don’t seem to notice how much value that adds.
Then you wonder why we get nothing done.
