Only you can answer that. Your financial position. Do you have future generations? Do you own a diversified portfolio of assets? Quality of the land. Do you have any other capital expenditures coming down the pipe? There are a lot of moving parts that only you can know.

There is some efficiency to be gained for sure. But some (not all) of that is offset by a lack of geographical diversification. Maybe that doesn't matter in your part of the world, but it does mine. In my part of the world land prices roughly doubled from 2020 to 2024. That is more than alarming. Part of the appeal of buying farmland is asset appreciation. That seems less of a given if land prices doubled in 4 years. Moreover, that must factor in the performance of your overall portfolio.
