Central ND | Shocks of grain! I'm old enough to remember in the middle 1960's our family still binding some oats bundles and shocking them. They then hauled them home and ran them through our 14 inch belt drive JD hammer mill with a traveling feeder and blowing the ground up hammered oats up into the hay mow. I remember being old enough to walk the fields with my parents to shock up the oat bundles but small enough I didn't have to pitch any of the bundles into the shocks.
