Because no one wants to buy what you describe anymore. Farmers and workers don't buy enough trucks to move the sales needle for any manufacturer any more.
I remember in the 90s, "GMC it not just a truck anymore." Right about the time truck sales skyrocket and so did the price. Everyone wanted to drive a truck.
Here the Farmers buying new truck all want king ranch Fords and high end Rams or Chevrolet.
