North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast
Ripping in the fall when ground isn’t bone dry will help get early corn ground dry enough to plant in spring. Also helps to hold moisture in dry land crops.
Usually rip ahead of corn on 3-4 year rotation.
