Fast charging rate doesn't mean much to many. I just looked at my charging history and the last time I used a Supercharger was Aug. 11, 2025. Since then, all my charging has been done with 12 cent electricity in my garage @ 14A- 230V. Depending on how far I've driven the car, I plug in every two or three days and the car starts charging about midnight. It quits about 6 AM and I'll usually have 80% in the battery. Then I've got enough for a few days driving.
The other day, my wife asked me what would happen if I forgot to unplug before driving. Pretty simple: the car doesn't move and there is a message on the screen that reminds me to unplug.
And yes, that adds a level of electrical complexity to the vehicle but it's software and doesn't need adjusting or wear out. Not something you can say about mechanical complexity.
