NE ND | My mother was an RN for 40 years at local nursing home. Just a block away local pioneer group holds a nice threshing bee each August. Shocks, threshing machine, etc. My mother always said they’d ask those old men if they wanted to go see it. They always said, no, I’ve seen enough of that. My grandfather started by pitch forking bundles onto the hay rack. 5 cents per hour. He never got the money. It went against his fathers threshing bill. | |
