Central Kansas
Symptoms within 30 mins to 8 hours are classic for Staph food poisoning (a toxin in the food from bacterial growth not dependent on bacterial or parasite growth in your body). Norovirus (cruise ship quick step) takes 8-12 hrs, maybe a little longer as the virus needs to replicate. Very contagious. Crytosporidium is a partially acid-fast (old diagnostic tool) parasite that can actually persist for a couple weeks prior to the classical symptoms.

Ivermectin’s efficacy is unknown to me, but most certainly some you tube “influencer” will promote that therapy if current logic prevails. Crytosporidium is best treated with a combination antimicrobial agent, trimethoprn/sulfamethoxazole (Bacterim or Septra old names) that is used for urinary tract infections.
