Subject: Ev's in the USA

Pittsburg, Kansas

This is a pretty interesting presentation I am in the middle of right now.

I guess it pertains to me now more than ever. We drove home a new Subaru Uncharted GT last night (full EV). Funny, my wife was probably more against the idea of an EV than I was till I started talking about some of the things she might like about one. We did test drive a KIA several months ago and it was "ok" but wife didn't really like it as well as our Venza hybrid. But to give it credit it was a lower level equipped car. After several months of traveling away from home got to talking about it again and checked into buying the new Toyota Venza replacement, the Toyota Crown (also hybrid). Then for some reason got to talking about all electric again. That led to considering the new Toyota EV's. That led to us finding out that Toyota and Subaru had a joint venture together and were building the Subaru (and for us the Subaru looked better) with the main differences being in the way they packaged the different levels. So our GT is about 95% Toyota with Subaru branding.

But I digress in getting long winded about stuff that don't matter. Long story short after looking for a few days decided the Uncharted GT was the one she liked the best. So we got one. So far so good. Drives really nice. Got parts ordered to install a level 2 charger in the garage. Using the level 1 now.

We have two other relatively new vehicles. I have a Nissan Pathfinder for my use now that I no longer have a pickup truck (still have a Chevy 3/4 ton service truck). And we have a Nissan Armada to pull trailer for toy hauling. So we have choices for longer trips if we so desire. Time will tell if we want to take the EV cross country or on longer trips.

We decided for around town and my wife's normal living the EV would suit her very well. Hope it works out that way. So far with only 600 miles so good. So far she loves it.

Dang Ed Boysun!!!!!  Planting ideas in my head!
