North-West Indiana | What is everyone’s thoughts about fungicide and rain? How long of a time window should there be between application of fungicide and rain? How much rain does it take to negate the effects of a fungicide application, (given a normal application, not being applied in the rain).
Planes came out today and started spraying, and as they were finishing up a field of corn it started to rain lightly. They were spraying Veltyma, Insecticide, and some sort of NIS I believe. I know they say moisture on leaves is not a bad thing while spraying fungicide, but don’t necessarily think that means rain. Cannot find anything on the label where it directly says a rainfast interval, but in general sounds like 2-4 hours before rain is a decent window. Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are and or maybe if you have seen something like this in the past and the result of it. For what it costs to put this stuff out there, would like it to be applied properly so it can perform its best.
