Subject: RE: JD 1550 mower

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
I have the 1550s older and brother 1435 with a 72 inch deck and 60 inch broom. It was two years old when I bought it I believe in 2008?? I've done a lot of mowing with it over the years and have no intention of "upgrading" anytime soon.

Other than basic maintenance like washing, changing oil, air filter, greasing, sharpening/changing blades, and replacing the drive tires, I have done nothing but add diesel fuel to it and go mow.

Pros are easy to maintain, deck is easy to swap with the broom, has good power even in tough/tall grass, and does good on side hills

About the only con with my 1435 IMO is that it would be nice at times if it had rear wheel drive for when the driveway ditches are a little slippery.
