| Cattle will eat foxtail before it heads out, generally shows up in sod in wet years , I THINK MAYBE in row crop situations it needs a certain temp. scenario to germinate, seems like I read that somewhere many years ago . Foxtail is an annual. From the picture it looks more like green foxtail then giant foxtail to me, green heads are about 2" long 1/2 diameter, giant is 3-4 inches long about 3/4 inch diameter with more fuzz then green. Green looks like yellow other then the color. | |
