Am listening to that podcast. Not all the way through yet. Most interesting thing is that cholesterol is not the problem. It sticks to the inside of the arteries because of previous damage by a sugar/carb rich diet. Cholesterol gets blamed because it's there.
I agree that was interesting. It's there because it is supposed to be there, it's supposed to be fixing the damage to the arteries. I suspect his books are more in depth, but the discussion was certainly informative in that regard. Nice to hear the "why" for the "what".
The part about cholesterol being a major component of the brain brought up an interesting question (not part of the interview), but "brain fog" is often a reported side effect of certain statins or at least in certain people. Is there a correlation to the statin's activity and negative repercussions to the brain? |
