The main stream media has given this a lot of publicity. The local press has been labeled as "Hostile" because they have pushed back on the false claims.
After her son's funeral the mother got the court to give her control of her son's estate. Later that week she went to Chicago to make a speech at the NAACP Convention. Earlier this week her attorney announced plans to sue the parents of their son's friends and local officials.
