I love my 7.3 gas.
I know for sure it would get better mileage with a manual trans. driving slowly around the farm with the torque converter unlocked it is pretty gas hungry. going down the road steady speed gets a little better than 15 empty.
no way do I want another super complicated extraordinarily expensive diesel.
