coast of Maine | There is always regional freight companies.They want day cab drivers badly.There is then Walmart that pays 100 grand to start (with experience and clean safety) here.Dump trucking here is slave wages.OTR for the big co's is the same here.I can see no problem in loaning the $$.It is much like a trade.Once he knows this skill maybe in 20 years it will do him/her well.I have had a CDL for almost 50 years ,never hauled for anyone but myself.I rarely drive now but there always is the day the SHTF and you need to work elsewhere.Of I was to enter and want $$ it would be doing specialized ,over dimension/boats/etc.But you need years of experience,,give him the $$ and say he owes you x loads of trucking,,maybe... | |
