NW Washington | There is a shortage of over-the-road truck drivers now because a bunch of foreign drivers have been forced to quit driving. The Trump admin. is now trying to let veterans drive without first getting a CDL. Driver turnover for some big trucking companies can be as high as 70 to 100% even under normal times.
So, I am sure this guy could find a company that will pay his way to get a CDL and learn to drive a truck. Also, there are legitimate truck driving schools and phony driving schools that will just take your money, so be careful. Some community colleges and trade schools have legitimate driving schools. | |
