Any advice on how to get a 24 year old lien released on a farm pickup?

Subject: Cut to the chase.


Talk to the auction company again and let them know that if they "are not going to help you" that you are going to call the folks who issue dealers' licenses. Nobody wants them to open up a hornet's nest in their business.

Sellers are required to provide a clean title and can get in trouble when they don't.


A few years ago I bought a trailer in another state and had it delivered. There was an issue with the title and my courthouse would not let me put it in my name. The dealer was giving me the runaround after a couple of polite phone calls to him.

On the third phone call he started to get nasty with me and I told him again that I couldn't fix the problem because it had to be done by him, and that my next call was going to be to the car dealers licensing office. His tone quickly changed and he decided that he WOULD fix the problem on the title. It was going to cost him $75 in paperwork and that's why he didn't want to help me.
